Marinella Pashova (Melly) was born in Bulgaria in the city of Pernik. She graduated in Bulgarian philology at Sofia University and taught Bulgarian language and literature to high school students for several years. In the UK in 2004 Melly founded a pioneering group teaching Bulgarian to British people who had bought property in Bulgaria.

She has first hand experience of teaching Bulgarian to British people and has a good understanding of the range of topics that are most appropriate.

Where it all started
The classes have been very successful and have inspired Melly to develop this language guide to try and reach those that need to learn just enough to help them during their stay in Bulgaria.

What really started the project was a call for such a product from many forum members on My Bulgaria the number one website for advice and information on Bulgaria. This product comes to market genuinely born from this demand and in answer to the very people who need it.
